St. Michael students have access to the following technology: the school-wide network, desktop and laptop computers, iPads, LCD and document projectors, wireless Internet access, and SMART interactive whiteboards.
Technology is encouraged as a tool for learning. Middle School students may bring their own devices (BYOD) as directed by the teachers for use in learning activities. Laptops and iPads are also available to be reserved by teachers for special projects.
Teachers and students utilize Google Apps for Education for document creation, cloud-based storage and sharing.
Online access for parents and students to view progress reports is available through Sycamore Education . This cloud-based system is comprehensive and includes features to manage student demographics, attendance, grades, assignments, registration, digital storage, and mobile-friendly student/ parent portal. Our Sycamore Education Parent and Student Portals encourage students to be responsible for their own academic progress and allow parents to monitor progress as well. The ability to view grades and teacher newsletters each week encourages open communication between student, parent, and teacher.
The curriculum is supported by and students have access to Sycamore Education, Discovery Education, BrainPop, IXL Math and Language Arts, Lexia, ABCMouse and various other online programs.
